Going to Scotland 2025

Hello Edinburgh!        (By Reva, Abigail and Charlotte) We’ve reached the final destination for our trip to Scotland: welcome to Edinburgh!! The feeling of being clean we had after a lengthy rain shower in our new apartments was incomparable. Refreshed and full of energy our day began with a walk to Calton Hill where we were astonished by the magnificent view of the city and of the visible separation between the old and new town.  Ms Hänggi and Ms Ruf told us some great facts about the location and on we went to Edinburgh castle. The tourists were quite easy to spot here, and, amidst a swarm of them, the first presentation of the day took place. Following that, the second group introduced us to Victoria Street, also known as the street that inspired the famous “Diagon Alley” from Harry Potter. After about one and a half hours that we got to spend on our own - exploring the city centre, finding adorable places to grab some lunch - we met again. The day continued...

Welcome to Edinburgh (by Lina, Maryam and Kweenie) This morning, we had some free time in Oban, before leaving for Edinburgh. The day started with some last-minute packing in the hostel, as everyone tried to get their suitcases ready. Just when things were already a bit hectic, one group’s room door broke :( The receptionist had to come and fix it; therefore, they had a little less time to pack than the rest of us. It caused a bit of chaos, but luckily everything worked out in the end. While some of us went to cafés to enjoy breakfast, others decided to go last-minute shopping in second-hand or souvenir shops. Soon after, we met at the train station and boarded our first train back to Glasgow. The ride, which took over 3 hours, gave us some time to relax and enjoy the scenery.
